Brief Biography
Educated at Sofia State University "St. Kliment Ochridski", graduated in 1994 with M.Sc. in physics (applied optics). Worked as a physicist in Central Laboratory of Photoprocesses at Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (from 1995). Spent three years as a PhD student (2001-2003), obtaining PhD degree with thesis entitled “Optimization of spectrophotometric methods for determining optical constants and thickness of thin films” (2003). Joined DIT as an Arnold F. Graves postdoctoral research fellow in January 2007.
Research
Interests
Research interests are in the field of thin film optics, interaction of matter with light, light induced phenomena, optical characterization, computer simulation and modeling of experimental results. Currently – theoretical modeling of recording processes in zeolite nanocomposites. 11 years experience in thin film optical investigation.
